Moulded Leather Skull cap & headpiece in a ‘Melting Candle’ layered design finished with ‘Cruella’ horsetail hair. The piece is adorned with the Silk Tulle ‘Phantom on Skeleton Horse’ veil

There are 7 adjustable strap & buckle closures on this headdress to ensure exact & accurate fitting. The multiple closures allow for both comfort & guarantee that the headdress will stay exactly in place.

The Silk Veil slots effortlessly over the Horsetail hair & sits in place on top of the skull cap, the embroidered opening for the tail has a 3 button & loop closure for perfect fit.

Silk Embroidered Veil: The ‘Phantom on Skeleton Horse’  embroidery design is one of the most detailed of creative free hand drawn work from the Steph Aman portfolio,  also featuring embroidered mourning glory appliqué detail around the skeleton horse. Free hand-drawn embroidery with silk chiffon detailed shadow work and intricate edge cut work, classic in its style, adapted & re worked as part of the Seville + Aman Couture collections. The ‘Phantom on Skeleton Horse’ embroidery is a brand exclusive design developed by Steph Aman. 

The hand finishing & embroidery on this veil takes in excess of 15 hours.

Skull cap Headdress fitting: The moulded skull cap with scalloped edge, 15cm in diameter with 13cm stem rising from the crown. The stem holds the horsetail rigidly in place. The complete headpiece is held in place with shaped strap around forehead & adjustable strap & buckles on centre front, 2 on side of head & 3 on centre back of head. Also adjustable with strap & buckle Chin strap. All pressure & weight is emanating from the crown/stem which is re-enforced on the inside with a brass ring so all the weight of the piece is evenly balanced on the head. 

Both the Leather headdress & the Silk Veil can be worn separately.

100% Leather Body Skull cap & Head piece,  created with smooth 2 mm Saddlery leather, backed & lined with luxurious metallic leather
